Family of Unkept Promises

Sat Jul 5, 2008, 2:00 PM
Ha, doesn't that title sound like something awfully close to a bad soap opera?

It would make a terrific book, I bet. But who knows... someday I might even do it myself.

Here's the story:

7-year-old Leanne is forced to give up her freedom in the countryside. She needs to adjust to a whole new life in one of the world's most spectacular cities, meeting strange people, strange cultures and the even more strange problems that come with being thrown in there without further notice.

When her uncle makes an unexpected appearance exactly 9 years later, Leanne has to decide just how much her life is worth.

Yeah.

Exactly my story! *snicker*

It does sound like a bad soap. But it's true.

  • Mood: Regretful
  • Listening to: I Bet That You Look Good on the Dancefloor
  • Reading: James Patterson

  • Favourite cartoon character: Uh... Kairi.
  • Personal Quote: Could we get off my screw-ups and focus on theirs? Theirs are bigger.
  • Tools of the Trade: My beloved pencils, tons of tissues and PS CS3. My imagination plays a big role in it, too.
